Don't ask me what genre (story)

I was at an exhibition opening last night. Somebody asked me what I did. I said I am an artist. He asked what I made. I said drawings. He asked me what genre. I paused, and chuckled a little at the question, and said post-apocalypse science fiction, superhero and western... which is true, but... what a silly question.
